Who is Eligible
The program provides services to the 10 Anishinaabeg Communities of Southern Treaty 3 served by Giishkaandago’Ikwe Health Services.
Services Provided:
The NIHB Navigator provides support to Communities by:
- Providing resources such as presentations, information sessions, training and orientation on NIHB benefits and processes including:
- Pharmacy
- Dental
- Vision care
- Medical supplies and equipment
- Medical transportation
- Mental health counselling
- Traditional healing
- Providing guidance on documentation required to access benefits and submit reimbursement requests
- Following up on outstanding or delayed NIHB claims and reimbursement requests, when requested by the Community
- Supporting Communities who are experiencing difficulties accessing eligible NIHB benefits or navigating complex NIHB situations
- Connecting Community members with the appropriate NIHB contact, benefit area or service when additional assistance is required
